I see a large amount of interest in wanting to learn how to build log homes. Some is for a career opportunity, some from desire to build their own dream home and some for the pure pleasure of working with wood.

My many years of experience building, has allowed me to create several different styles and types of log structures. My goal would be to present you with the many tips and techniques I have learned or developed.

To learn how to build a log house you must actually do it with professional supervision and teaching. I will teach you by explaining and demonstrating proper methods and the reason why. Your curiosity will hopefully be satisfied.
During the course we will build a Scandinavian full scribe shell from start to finish. Also covered will be how to prepare window and door openings, electrical and interior partitions. Floor joist and roof preparations will also be covered. Emphasis will be placed on safety.
You will be graded and given a certificate of course completion. If employment in log construction is your goal, your marks will reflect your knowledge and ambition.
